The MSM loves to report on Richard Spencer because their goal is to discredit the New Right. Nevermind the fact that Richard Spencer can barely get 20 people to a public event even with free publicity from the MSM trying to hype your event because they want the general public to believe the New Right are just a bunch of Nazis.
The MSM has a new white nationalist pet and it's Paul Nehlen. If you are on the right and the MSM is writing about you it's for one of 2 reasons....1) You are extremely effective and they need to discredit you (see Mike Cernovich) 2)The left needs to build you up as a leader of the New Right in order to discredit the New Right. They can't defeat those on the right who are well-spoken, smart, and effective so they go all out to discredit you by any means possible. As Mike Cernovich said on a periscope today...Paul Nehlen is just a useful tool for the media and this is why Richard Spencer and David Duke will never be kicked off twitter and the same goes for Paul Nehlen. The media needs them to slander the New Right.
Now, if you are like me you do wonder WTH happened with Paul Nehlen. He was never a great candidate but he wasn't a terrible candidate and he certainly wasn't spouting off white nationalist, anti-semitic nonsense when he campaigned 2 years ago and furthermore it wasn't until the month of December he went totally off the rails.
I have gone through Paul Nehlen's tweets trying to figure out when he lost his mind ...was he like this all along? Did we all miss a bright flashing light alerting us to his lunacy? Was it overnight or was it a slow growing cancer?
Well, here's what I can tell you. If we missed anything at all it was that Paul is a weak candidate and has been all along. Now I know why he barely registered at the ballot box. What I missed, mostly because I didn't really check his twitter feed, was how lame and corny most of his tweets were. There's a reason why I didn't check his twitter feed often. It was boring and you get the feeling he thinks a lot more of himself than he probably should.
Paul started his twitter in March of 2016. It starts out benignly enough and up until the end of November this year it was still pretty benign, lame but benign. Then on November 28 he tweets the tweet below....the next day he would tweet again saying "It's Ok to be white". While I believe it's OK to be white, it was just interesting that none of his tweets before the end of November had white nationalist themed tweets and then most of December he goes full alt right/anti-semetic getting in arguments with some on the New Right like Will Chamberlain and John Cardillo to name a few.
The tweet below is disgusting. If you follow Paul Nehlen after seeing this tweet then don't consider yourself part of the New Right. I don't care whether you agree/disagree with Gabby Giffords on gun control this tweet is poorly worded and seems obviously intended to stir up a hornets nest. It did ...and he got some higher profile people commenting back which he seemed to relish.
That was December 2nd. It's been all downhill ever since with Paul trying to use other more influential accounts disavowing him as a way to catapult himself into prominence because he can't seem to do that on his own. What changed Paul? His transformation into a Richard Spencer wannabe seems to have take place all within the last 30 days.
The New Right is going through growing pains and we are going to have to be more discerning about who we support. If I had just read Paul Nehlen's twitter feed I would have at least known there's a reason why he only got 15% of the vote against Paul Ryan. I am no fan of Ryan's but I can tell you now, Nehlen won't be the one to replace him.
What happened to Nehlen? I don't really know and as lame as he is I don't really care. You can't be a white nationalist and/or anti-semite and be New Right. It's like water and oil. It's not just the left looking to destroy us, it's many within our own party. I am posting Mike Cernovich's periscope discussing this whole fiasco because he makes some very important points. This Paul Nehlen thing feels like a pysop...like we have been set up. Who knows the truth but it's another example of what we need to be on guard against and quickly quash these schemes when they arise....
